Naomi Watts revives old Hollywood glamour in an emerald green dress at the 2024 Emmys

Naomi Watts brings back the glamour of old Hollywood with the timeless dress she wore to the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards.

The actress looked stunning in a strapless emerald green evening gown as she arrived at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles this evening. The elegant piece – custom-made by Balenciaga – featured a bow at the back, the ends of which flowed into a long train.

When it came to accessories, she stuck to minimal jewelry and opted for diamond-studded earrings and diamond rings.

Tonight, Watts is among the nominees for Best Actress in a Miniseries or Anthology or Movie for her portrayal of Babe Paley in FX’s Feud: Capote vs. the Swans.

In addition to starring as the lead actress, Watts also served as an executive producer on the series. In a recent interview with, she talked about taking more creative risks in her career Harper’s Bazaar.

“I think as you get older and have a lot of experience now, I can imagine doing something like this more easily,” Watts said. “But back then, it just felt too risky. I've had big successes, big failures, some mediocrity. Now I've had every kind of experience, so I'm much more open to new things. Risk is fantastic. Failure is inevitable. Success is rare. I know how to ride the waves better – I don't always feel good about it, but I know they come and go.”

She added: “I feel like we are who we are and my story is woven into almost every story I tell. I would say the stories I've struggled with are usually processed through my work in one way or another.”
