Man and woman hospitalized with serious injuries after accident in Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE — A man and a woman were seriously injured in an accident in Fort Lauderdale on Sunday evening.

Shortly before 8:15 p.m., the Fort Lauderdale Fire Department was called to a two-vehicle accident on NW 7th Ave. 6th St. Emergency crews found two “severely damaged” vehicles and two people with serious injuries, the fire department reported on X.

Both people had to be extricated from their vehicles and taken to the trauma center at Broward Medical Health Center.

The cause of this crash is currently being investigated.
