Ka'imi Fairbairn's middle name is Clutch.

Well, actually it’s Kaʻiminoeauloamekaʻikeokekumupaʻa, but “Clutch” is the style of play of the Houston Texans kicker this year.

After a false start by Laremy Tunsil, the Texans found themselves right in Fairbairn's usual field goal range. From the logo, the veteran threw a 59-yard boom blast that gave the Texans a 16-10 halftime lead over the Chicago Bears.

Fairbairn also kicked a 50-yard field goal on Houston's opening drive to take a 3-0 lead.

The former UCLA star was a perfect fit for the Texans after signing a three-year, $15.9 million contract extension in the offseason. He sank three kicks over 50 yards, including a season-best 51 yards, in the 29-27 Week 1 win over the Indianapolis Colts.

Well, that record was broken in the final second of the first half. Houston could thank Mr. Clutch after the third quarter ended.
