Northern Arizona man arrested after threatening mass shooting

FLAGSTAFF, AZ (AZFamily) – A northern Arizona man was arrested Sunday after threatening mass shootings online, police said.

On Friday, Flagstaff Police received reports of threatening posts on various Yelp review platforms for schools, government agencies and businesses and identified the suspect as 36-year-old Justin Wayne Hill of Ash Fork.

According to police, Coconino Community College was one of the schools involved in the investigation. On Friday, the school decided to close all three campus locations until further notice due to a security threat.

A warrant was issued for Hill's arrest and two days later, on Sunday, he was arrested in Bozeman, Montana.

“The continuous hours and resources provided by all agencies involved to quickly apprehend Mr. Hill underscore our commitment to protecting our communities from threats of violence and ensuring public safety,” Flagstaff police said in a statement.

No further information about the case has been released.
