24-year-old Florida man charged with murder of grandmother

An Orange City man was charged with murder Friday for stabbing his grandmother to death, court records show.

Kiyoshi Fiore, 24, was arrested and charged with first-degree premeditated murder and attempted false imprisonment, court documents show.

Police said they responded to reports of a stabbing at a home in the Orange City Flats senior living community at 11:16 a.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they arrested Fiore.

According to the police report, a verbal argument broke out between Fiore and his grandmother. During the argument, he took out a knife and stabbed her.

The injured woman was taken to HCA Lake Monroe Hospital in Sanford for emergency treatment, police said.

Court records reviewed on Sunday showed that the victim had succumbed to his injuries.

Fiore was arrested immediately on Friday after Orange City police said they were working with prosecutors to file felony charges.
