Teenager confesses to murder of his family after birthday party

By Ezekiel David

In a shocking incident near Milan, Italy, a 17-year-old boy confessed to the brutal murders of his parents and younger brother. The tragedy occurred just hours after the family celebrated his father's 51st birthday.

Initially, the teenager gave police a fabricated statement in which he said he saw his father, Fabio Chiarioni, murder his mother, Daniela Albano, and his 12-year-old brother. He then attacked and killed his father in self-defense, he said. However, police were skeptical of his statements because his accounts were contradictory and did not indicate any physical injuries.

During a second interrogation, the teenager confessed to the murders and revealed a chilling motive. He admitted to feeling like an outsider in his family, explaining: “There's no real reason why I killed them. I felt like an outsider in my family. Oppressed. I thought that by killing them all I could free myself from that discomfort.”

The teenager described the horrific incident in detail. Among other things, he first attacked his sleeping brother and stabbed him repeatedly with a kitchen knife. He then pointed the weapon at his parents, who were also present in the room.

He immediately called emergency services and confessed to killing his father. When officers arrived at the family home, they discovered the bodies of the parents and son in the younger brother's bedroom. The 17-year-old was found outside, covered in blood and still holding the murder weapon.

Paderno Dugnano is shocked by the crime. Neighbors and acquaintances of the family consider them quiet and respected. The community expressed its dismay at the heinous act.

Milan's juvenile prosecutor Sabrina Ditaranto is leading the investigation and is trying to uncover the full extent of the tragedy. “It will be a long time before we can explain such a cruel gesture,” commented judicial sources.
