One dead and one injured in Wood County

CRANMOOR – One person died and another was injured in a motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon in Wood County.

The accident occurred around 3:52 p.m. Sunday on Wood County D, near Moore Road, in the town of Cranmoor.

The initial investigation indicates that the motorcyclist lost control on a curve heading north on Wood County D. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.

The motorcyclist, a 42-year-old man from Vesper, died at the scene. His passenger, a 31-year-old woman from Vesper, was transported to Marshfield Medical Center by Life Link.

The crash remains under investigation.
