24-year-old woman killed in tractor-trailer crash on Route 44 in Taunton – Boston 25 News

TAUNTON, Massachusetts – A 24-year-old woman was killed in a crash involving a tractor-trailer in Taunton Sunday morning.

Mallory Humphreys was a passenger in a gray 2015 Infiniti on Route 44 near Winthrop Street at about 1:24 a.m. when the car struck a semi-trailer that was also traveling eastbound. Humphreys was pronounced dead at the scene, the Bristol County District Attorney's Office said.

The 27-year-old Fall River man who was driving the Infiniti was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the semi-trailer, a 39-year-old man from Brockton, was uninjured.

The accident is currently being investigated by Massachusetts State Police detectives in cooperation with the Bristol County District Attorney's Office, Taunton Police Department, and the Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction Unit.
