THE CORRECTION DEPARTMENT HAS NOT RELEASED THE IDENTITY OF THE VICTIM

Police say a motorcyclist died in an accident in Spartanburg County

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, on Sunday evening, according to Master Trooper Gary Miller of the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The crash occurred just before 8:45 p.m. on SC Highway 9 near Victoria Drive, Miller said. According to Miller, the driver of the motorcycle was traveling southbound when the motorcycle left the road and struck a curb and railing. The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office has not yet determined the victim's identity.

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, SC —

A motorcyclist was killed in an accident in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, on Sunday evening, according to Master Trooper Gary Miller of the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred just before 8:45 p.m. on SC Highway 9 near Victoria Drive, Miller said.

According to Miller, the driver of the motorcycle was traveling south when it left the road and struck a curb and railing.

The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office has not yet identified the victim.
