Canandaigua woman accused of stealing $200 worth of meat – Finger Lakes Daily News

Police arrested a Canandaigua woman on Sunday on an arrest warrant following a shoplifting investigation at the Walmart in Canandaigua.

Sara Williams was arrested on Scottland Road in the Town of Canandaigua and charged with petty theft after allegedly passing through all the vendors without paying for $210.54 worth of meat.

Williams was taken to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment. She will return to Hopewell Municipal Court at a later date to answer the charges.

The fact that a defendant is accused of a crime constitutes merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
