Paramedics pronounce man dead after rescuing him from sewage pit – Israel News

Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics declared a 55-year-old man dead on Monday after he was found in a sewage pit in Mazkeret Batya in central Israel, MDA said.

Initially, the fire department announced that firefighters were busy rescuing an unconscious man who was stuck in a sewage pit.

The agency also noted that oxygen levels in the pit were low and that the man was found four meters deep.

Police investigate

Police said they were investigating the circumstances of the incident.

Police added that the incident was believed to be an “industrial accident” in which the man, a worker on site, fell into the pit.
