Sources – Chiefs' Isiah Pacheco (fibula) is expected to be placed on the injured list

Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco is expected to land on the injured list after suffering a fibula injury during Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals, ESPN's Adam Schefter learned from sources Monday.

Sources told ESPN that Pacheco underwent an X-ray on Sunday night and will undergo a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) on Monday to determine if he has a fracture and/or ligament injury in his ankle.

Pacheco left the game at the last minute and was seen leaving the stadium using a walker and crutches. Chiefs coach Andy Reid did not provide any further details after the game other than to say he will undergo tests on Monday.

Pacheco, 25, rushed for 90 yards on 19 carries and caught five passes for 21 yards in the 26-25 win. In two games this season, he rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown, averaging 4.0 yards per carry.

The Chiefs have Samaje Perine on the roster as Pacheco's replacement, but he did not play on Sunday. He was signed by Kansas City after being released by the Denver Broncos in their final layoff phases.

Rookie Carson Steele managed seven runs for 24 yards against the Bengals.
