Farragut woman charged with attempted murder | News

(Farragut) – A suspect faces multiple charges following unrest in Farragut over the weekend.

The Fremont County Sheriff's Office said 47-year-old Sylvia Marie Hayes was arrested Sunday on charges of attempted murder (a class B felony), willful assault, aggravated assault (a class C felony), willful armed use (a class D felony) and second-degree domestic violence (a misdemeanor).

Authorities say the sheriff's office received a call just before 3 p.m. about a disturbance in the 1000 block of Essex Avenue in Farragut. The victim reported being attacked with a baseball bat. The victim was taken to Shenandoah Medical Center with serious injuries.

Hayes is being held without bail in the Fremont County Jail awaiting his initial appearance before a district judge.
