Brewers beat Brandon Pfaadt and defeat Diamondbacks again

The Diamondbacks suffered a loss on Saturday night, with their starter delivering the worst performance of his career. They lost to the Milwaukee Brewers for the second day in a row and once again saw their claim to a playoff spot become increasingly fragile.

And as if the 15-8 loss wasn't bad enough, they also had to place right-hander Ryne Nelson on the injured list before the game due to inflammation in his right shoulder, meaning their best starter of the last two and a half months will miss at least two games.

While the reality is that they still have a good chance of clinching a wild card spot, it's also true that for the first time in what feels like months, the prospect of the Diamondbacks sitting out October is at least within the realm of possibility.
