Fortnite Update 31.20 – Patch Notes, Downtime, Day of Doom LTM, MCU Iron Man Release Date | Gaming | Entertainment

Fortnite fans are counting down the days until the next big update is released. Fortnite developer Epic Games has set Update 31.20 as its release date for PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Android on September 17. Of course, the big new update will be accompanied by server downtime starting at 9:00am BST (UK time) (matchmaking will be disabled around 8:30am). While there is no official timetable for the downtime, servers are expected to remain offline until around 11:00am BST. Daily Express will keep this article updated with the full list of patch notes, information, and official announcements on the morning of September 17.

The main new feature is the introduction of a new Marvel-themed limited-time game mode featuring Marvel heroes and villains.

During Fortnite's limited-time Doom Day, up to 32 players compete in the ultimate battle between good and evil.

Doom's henchmen are tasked with collecting six arcane artifacts that will prevent the enemies from respawning. Eliminate the remaining Avengers and the villains will emerge victorious.

The Avengers' allies, on the other hand, must eliminate Doom's forces before they can collect the artifacts.

Epic explains it in more detail: “Doom's Henchmen have a large number of respawns overall – claim victory once you and your fellow Avenger have used up all of their reinforcements.”

Elsewhere, Epic Games has announced plans to release the new MCU Iron Man skin and items. The Iron Man goodies will be available in the item shop on September 17, most likely as soon as the update goes live.

LEGO Fortnite receives “The Lost Isles” content, which adds new environments, clombos, weapons, items, and more.

NEW CONTENT

• Marvel Doomsday (limited)

– 32-player multiplayer mode that pits Doom's henchmen against the Avengers' allies.

– Doom's Henchmen: Your goal is to collect all six arcane artifacts. Once you collect them all, your opponents will not be able to respawn. Eliminate all the heroes and you will emerge victorious!

– Avengers: Your goal is to defeat Doom's forces before they collect the artifacts. Doom's minions have a large number of respawns overall – claim victory once you and your fellow Avengers have used up all of their reinforcements.

GENERALLY

• Built-in emotes do not play in Creative/UEFN Experiences.

– We are investigating an issue where built-in emotes that are only attached to certain outfits do not play in a Creative or UEFN experience.

• Unintended noise pollution when driving Beskar.

– Sometimes you may hear a very loud humming noise when driving or in the Beskar car. Please remember to turn down the volume before getting in the car.

BATTLE ROYALE

• Players cannot switch from 1st to 5th inventory slot on the controller.

– Players may have issues switching directly from 1st to 5th inventory slot when pressing “Left” on their D-Pad.

• Pickaxes may not deal damage when hit.

– After playing other game modes and then loading Battle Royale, pickaxes may no longer deal damage during a match.
