“We expect to unseal the indictment tomorrow morning and will have more to say then,” Manhattan U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said in a statement.

Marc Agnifilo, an attorney for Combs, said in a separate statement that his client is innocent and he looks forward to clearing his name.

“We are disappointed in the decision to prosecute Mr. Combs, which we believe is unjust,” Agnifilo said. “He is an imperfect human being, but he is not a criminal.”

Combs is cooperating with the investigation and voluntarily moved to New York last week to fight the charges, Agnifilo said. Combs will appear in federal court in Manhattan on Tuesday morning after the indictment is unsealed.

The music mogul has been accused of sexual abuse several times over the years. Earlier this year, CNN released a video of him abusing his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in 2016. Combs apologized.

The rapper, who also performed under other names such as Puff Daddy and P. Diddy, had some of his greatest success as a record producer and manager who promoted the careers of other stars, later expanding his business life with a clothing line and other projects.
