But 38-year-old hitmaker Bruno is NOT suing Miley, but rather Tempo Music Investments, a company that claims to own a stake in Bruno's song, TMZ reports.

They accused the pop singer of having “intentionally copied” “Bruno's Song When I Was Your Man” in her hit “Flowers” to strengthen women's rights.

The investment company claims that “Flowers” has a similar melody and harmony to Bruno’s hit in the verses and chorus.

It also states that the chord progression is similar to that of Bruno's song, and claims that some of the lyrics are also similar to his piece, which Mars co-wrote with Philip Lawrence, Ari Levin and Andrew Wyatt.

In the documents, Tempo Music stated that the similarities of the songs were “undeniable because of the combination and number of similarities between the two recordings, there would be no Flowers without 'When I Was Your Man.'”

The investment firm is seeking damages from Miley, but it is not clear whether any amount has already been demanded at this point.

In addition, it is demanding that Miley never be allowed to perform “Flowers” again and that she be banned from distributing “Flowers,” which could mean the song being removed from her 2023 album “Endless Summer Vacation.”

The Sun has contacted Miley and Bruno's representatives for comment.

Both artists had great success with their songs – both titles reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.

“When I Was Your Man” was nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance at the 56th Grammy Awards in 2014.

Miley Cyrus presents her new hair transformation on David Letterman's Netflix show and her fans rave: “You look flawless”

Flowers was also nominated for Song of the Year at the Grammys, but did not win.

Miley had previously stated that she could not stand the mindless world of celebrity.

And the pop star often dreams of turning her back on showbiz altogether.

In her most candid conversation in years, Miley said candidly, “I'm not very active and I don't really belong to my community of other artists and celebrities. It just doesn't feel like my people, but there are some artists like Beyonce… We've known each other for a long time.”

“When I was 15, I performed with her and Rihanna, these tall, beautiful women, and I still had braces on the back of my teeth. Beyonce was so nice to me then. Since I saw her then, a deep friendship has developed and that kindness hasn't changed.”

Miley, who has sold 55 million singles and 20 million albums worldwide, says she dreams of being able to live her life incognito again, just like her character Hannah Montana in the Disney series that made her famous.

Instead, she is constantly causing a stir because her fans are screaming for selfies.

Regarding David Letterman's Netflix series “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction,” she said: “My perfect life would be the summary of my TV show, where I would be normal during the day and a superstar at night.

“One of my dreams is to travel the world anonymously. To be able to explore cities I've already been to, but on tour. To be exactly who I am now, but to travel anonymously.”

It's been a decade since Miley's last world tour supporting her album Bangerz, and although her fans have been begging her to go on tour again, she insists she has no desire to do so.

Miley said: “I've been on tour, I've performed, I've been in stadiums my whole life and I've been isolated.

“Boredom is torture”

“Even as a baby, my father picked me up and lifted me above the crowd.

“But shortly after the lockdown, I performed in Mexico in front of 130,000 people and that worried me a lot.”
