Farmington woman arrested for drunk driving after hit-and-run in Canandaigua

A Farmington woman was arrested Sunday evening following a hit-and-run crash in the town of Canandaigua. According to Ontario County Sheriff's officials, 44-year-old Taryn A. White was driving a Honda Civic when she struck several mailboxes on Brickyard Road and fled the scene.

Officers located and stopped White's vehicle shortly after the accident. Upon investigation, they determined that she was intoxicated. White was charged with drunk driving, leaving the scene of an accident, and driving under the influence with a prior conviction within the last 10 years.

White was taken to the Ontario District Jail where she will be held pending central arraignment. She is expected to appear in Canandaigua Municipal Court at a later date.
