Sean “Diddy” Combs arrested in New York on sex trafficking allegations

Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested Monday on federal charges in connection with an ongoing sex trafficking investigation at a New York City hotel.

The disgraced rapper was taken into custody by Homeland Security Investigations at the Park Hyatt New York after being indicted by a grand jury.

“The hip-hop mogul has cooperated fully and came to New York voluntarily in anticipation of the charges,” a source told us on Monday.

Page Six learned that his case was brought to trial at 26 Federal Plaza in the Big Apple. The charges are currently unclear. Combs is scheduled to be arraigned in federal court in Manhattan on Tuesday.

“We are disappointed by the U.S. Attorney's decision to pursue what we believe is an unjustified prosecution of Mr. Combs,” Marc Agnifilo, an attorney for Combs, wrote in a statement.

“Sean 'Diddy' Combs is a music icon, a self-made entrepreneur, a loving family man and a proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children and advocating for the upliftment of the black community.

“He is an imperfect human being, but not a criminal. To his credit, Mr. Combs has been consistently cooperative with this investigation and voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges.”

Agnifilo added: “Please reserve your judgment until you know all the facts. These are the actions of an innocent man who has nothing to hide and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”

Combs, 54, has been at the center of allegations of sexual misconduct since his ex-girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura sued him for rape and physical abuse in November 2023.

Ventura, 38, claimed that the “I'll Be Missing You” rapper regularly abused and mistreated her over the course of their ten-year relationship, and allegedly even forced her to have sex with male prostitutes.

The “Me & U” singer also claimed that Combs raped her in 2018 before the two officially split.

One day after the lawsuit was filed, the ex-partners privately reached a settlement.

Combs denied the allegations against him at the time. However, in May, surveillance footage emerged showing the music mogul physically abusing Ventura in a hotel in March 2016.

The Bad Boy Records founder addressed the violent behavior a few days later in a video shared on Instagram.

“My behavior in this video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my behavior in this video. I am disgusted,” Combs said.

“I sought professional help, started therapy and rehab and had to ask God for his grace and mercy,” he continued.

Following Ventura's lawsuit, several other alleged victims came forward, including Joi Dickerson-Neal, who claimed Combs raped and drugged her while she was a student at Syracuse University in 1991.

Rolling Stone reported that Liza Gardner also accused Combs of raping her in the early 1990s when she was 16 years old.

Combs faces several other lawsuits accusing him of gang rape, sex trafficking and organized crime.

In March, the Department of Homeland Security searched Combs' homes in Los Angeles and Miami in connection with a sex trafficking investigation.

At the time, Combs' sons Justin and Christian were seen in handcuffs outside his $40 million LA mansion.

Sources told Page Six that the “Last Night” artist was seen at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport at the time of the raids as he prepared to travel to the Bahamas with his twin daughters Jessie and D'Lila.
