St. Louis Park, Minnesota – You have the chance to help families affected by the tragedy of the Park Tavern on Tuesday.

Two people were killed and several others were injured when a suspected drunk driver drove through the patio of the Park Tavern on September 1.

Bunny's Bar and Grill in St. Louis Park is donating a portion of its daily sales to those affected. Twenty percent of sales will go to the families of the victims.

“We've known Phil at Park Tavern for over 30 years and have always been very close to them,” said general manager Jason Rackner. “Our employees go there, their employees come here. And the first thing that came to our minds was how we could help them in a moment like this.”

Bunny's also offers a special Tavern Burger on Tuesdays.

“This is a community. I've been in the industry for a long time, you get to know everyone,” said co-chef Erin Ashmore. “And what happened is just horrible. That's why we want to help. We want to show the community that we all care about each other.”

Steven Bailey was charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of involuntary manslaughter and nine counts of reckless driving in connection with the crash. Prosecutors allege Bailey's blood alcohol level was more than four times the legal limit when he drove into the patio.

Kristin Folkertsa 30-year-old restaurant worker, was trapped under the car and died at the scene. Methodist Hospital worker Gabe Harvey was also killed. Nine other people suffered injuries ranging from broken legs to head injuries, cuts and bruises.

Park Tavern Reopened earlier this monthwith a growing outdoor memorial to the victims.

Bunny's is located on Excelsior Boulevard in St. Louis Park, just off Highway 100, about 2 miles from Park Tavern.
