Morgan Wallen will ‘likely spend time behind bars’ after his arrest (EXCL)

Bad boy from the country Morgan Wallace puts on a brave face during his world tour – but a source exclusively reveals Life & Style The singer of “Wasted on You” has the legitimate fear that he will have to go to prison!

Wallen's lawyers were trying to negotiate a light slap on the wrist for the 31-year-old hitmaker after he was arrested in Nashville in April for allegedly throwing a chair from a rooftop bar – which crashed to the ground on the street just three feet away from police officers.

But the source tells Life & Style The legal experts are currently working on a verdict that also includes a harsh prison sentence!

“Morgan's lawyers have tried to reach a deal that would give him probation,” the insider reveals, pointing out that the Grammy nominee faces up to six years in prison if convicted of three counts of reckless endangerment.

“But right now things are looking bleak. He'll probably spend time behind bars.”

Wallen's team managed to postpone the court hearing from August 15 to December to allow the artist to keep to his concert schedule.

But the source says the unsettled Wallen saw the writing on the wall.

“Morgan is told the best case scenario is a prison sentence of 30 to 60 days.”

“I don't think prosecutors want him to get away without a conviction because then people will think it's because of his celebrity status.”

Nevertheless, the insider hopes that the charge can be reduced to a minor offense.

“If Morgan is convicted of a crime, it will be difficult for him to get a work visa to tour internationally!”
