16-year-old boy allegedly shot a friend in a shooting in Wilton Manors

WILTON MANORS, Fla. (CBS12) — A 16-year-old boy is accused of shooting another teenager while the two were playing with guns.

The Broward County Sheriff's Office (BSO) said officers were called to the location near 400 Northwest 25th Street in Wilton Manors around 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Upon arrival, officers reported that they found the juvenile victim and transported him to a nearby hospital.

In conversations with witnesses who were in the house at the time of the shooting, investigators said the two were playing with guns when one of them fired a shot and shot the victim.

According to official information, the victim was pronounced dead in the hospital.

The 16-year-old suspect is accused of manslaughter with a firearm.
