Fulham will try to win the EFL Cup

Preston North End manager Paul Heckingbottom stressed that Fulham have a team capable of competing in the Premier League and the EFL Cup simultaneously.

Marco Silva has stabilized the Cottagers and established the London club as a comfortable mid-table team in the first division.

In the last two seasons they finished 13th and 10th respectively and are expected to easily reach the table this season too.

The Lilywhites boss believes the Craven Cottage side are at a level where they can challenge for a trophy.

Heckingbottom also stressed that there is no need to worry about their status in the Premier League, even if they try to go far in cup competitions.

“The Premier League is everyone's priority and I'm sure Marco and Fulham are no exception. But they are at a level now where they want to get to the finals and try to win one.”Heckingbottom told the media of his club about Fulham.

“They are certainly well established and now have the squad strength to compete in the cup and also perform well in the Premier League.”

The Lilywhites have had a difficult start to the league season and will face tough opponents Fulham in the EFL Cup at Deepdale tonight.
