British police investigate drug incident on campus

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – University of Kentucky Police are investigating after receiving a report of a drug-related incident on campus.

According to a university press release, “The incident reportedly occurred on Saturday, September 14. The victim was given a drink and later learned that it contained a controlled substance, after which he became ill and required medical attention.”

It is reported from the UK that police and other units are actively investigating the incident.

The British police also gave the following safety tips:

  • Do not accept drinks from strangers or drinks that you did not see being prepared.
  • Do not leave your drink unattended. If your drink is left unattended, get a new drink when you return.
