Police say five people were arrested after a fight at Goodyear High School

GOODYEAR, Arizona – What began as a fight between two students at a Goodyear high school ended with a total of five arrests, city police confirmed.

The incident reportedly occurred on Monday at Desert Edge High School.

“Due to the large number of students in the area at the time, the School Resource Officer requested additional officers for crowd control,” a Goodyear police sergeant told 12News.

Police did not provide further details about the incidents, but said five people were arrested for “disorderly conduct and disruption of an educational institution.”

Police have not been able to identify any of the people involved in the incident. There is no information on whether weapons were involved.
