Will Phaedra Parks beat the Real Housewives curse on DWTS?

Dancing with the stars has announced the cast for season 33 and one of Bravo's housewives made it. Phaedra Parks will hit the dance floor with her partner Val Chmerkovskiy. That's a hot duo! Unfortunately Real Housewives Stars have not had much luck in the ballroom so far.

Since being cast on Real Housewives Ultimate Girls' Trip, Phaedra has been booked and busy. She competed on Season 2 of The Traitors and was (literally) a total hoot. Her verbal snubs at the Round Table were legendary. But she was voted out and had to admit that she was actually a traitor. Phaedra then joined Married to Medicine.

But when Kenya Moore exited Real Housewives of Atlanta in season 16, Phaedra got her peach back. As you may recall, Phaedra joined the show in season 3 and was fired after season 9. And it was all because Phaedra spread a rumor that Kandi Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker allegedly planned to drug and sexually assault Porsha Williams. When Porsha revealed that Phaedra was the source of the false story, it was over for the lawyer and undertaker.

Now Phaedra is ready to take on the ballroom, so let's see how well her fellow contestants did and if Phaedra can beat the Real Housewives curse on DWTS.

The last housewife to compete was Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Guidice. She was sent home in the second week of the competition. Womp, womp!

RHOA alumnus Kenya took on the dance challenge in season 30. She landed in 10th Then, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne signed on for season 24 and was paired with Gleb Savchenko. They finished in ninth place. This was surprising, as fans were fully expecting Erika to succeed with her dance experience.

According to The Daily Dish, former RHOA dancer Kim Zolciak competed in season 21 but had to withdraw due to medical shock. She underwent heart surgery but returned to dance with Tony Dovolani in the finale. However, since she had to withdraw, she ended up in season 11.th Location.

RHOA alumnus NeNe Leakes made it to week seven of season 18 with her partner Tony. And former Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump survived a graceful fainting spell in season 16, but she and Gleb were the second couple to be dumped. Were Tony and Gleb the official Housewives Whisperers?

Actress Lisa Rinna showed off her moves in season 2 before joining RHOBH. She and her partner Louis van Amstel finished in fourth place. Model Joanna Krupa also finished in fourth place in season 9. She dated Derek Hough. However, Joanna was also not yet a cast member on Real Housewives of Miami. But these two ladies scored the highest.

Phaedra Parks wants to break the DWTS curse

Phaedra is very determined and hardworking. She has two sons and several Careers. Of course, she didn't excel at the physical challenges in The Traitors. But her charm convinced CT Tamburello to carry her across a river. I don't think that will work on DWTS.

But now Phaedra is ready to shake her “donkey ass” with all her might to represent the Housewives. “The Housewives in general have not been doing so well. I want to break the curse because we can definitely win,” Phaedra told US Weekly.

She added, “I want to show the world that Housewives can do more than just talk rubbish. We can actually dance.” Plus, Phaedra has always dreamed of dancing the ballroom quickstep. “I've been a huge fan of the show since season 1, so I've always wanted to do that,” the Atlanta beauty explained. “It's definitely not on my bucket list, so I'm super excited.”

I admit that I predicted Phaedra would be in the middle of the pack in terms of scores. But if she works hard and masters technique, she could exceed my expectations. I look forward to seeing how she does in the waltz, foxtrot, and tango, which could be right up her alley. I'm not sure I'd bet on Phaedra winning, but she could stay in the competition for quite a long time.

Phaedra Parks was paired with winning dance pro Val Chmerkovskiy

Phaedra was paired with Val, who took home the Mirrorball three times. Both Phaedra and Val have big personalities, as evidenced by this Instagram post. It was captioned, “There were good vibes from the moment Phaedra and Val met! #DWTS.”

As Phaedra panned the camera to Val, she declared, “Yeah! We're going to win!” She asked Val to show off some of his favorite moves, which were hilarious. And Phaedra? She relies on her twerking skills. And RHOA fans have seen them in action. Plus, the two have great chemistry. Love it!

I'm looking forward to seeing Phaedra perform certain Latin dances. I think the cha-cha and salsa will showcase Phaedra's flirtatious side and her chemistry with Val. And I expect to hear at least one “Fix it, Jesus!” from Phaedra in each dance practice package.

And let's be clear: Phaedra will be entertaining in the ballroom. Her personality, confidence, and enthusiasm will definitely benefit the show. I don't think Phaedra will end this season of DWTS with the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. I wish she would! But I think Phaedra can overcome the Real Housewives curse on DWTS and make it to the final three. Go for it, Phaedra!
