Attempted murder in Liberty Hill leads to several arrests after joint investigation | News

On March 8 at approximately 2:30 a.m., Williamson County 911 received a call from a teenager who reported that his mother and her boyfriend had been shot by an unknown intruder who had violently entered their Liberty Hill home while they were sleeping. No items were stolen and it was immediately clear that this was not a random act of violence.

The female victim suffered 11 gunshot wounds to her chest, abdomen, arms, legs, shoulder and neck. The boyfriend was shot twice and suffered injuries to his neck and arm. Despite the severity of their injuries, both victims have recovered.

Liberty Hill Police requested assistance from the Williamson County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division. With additional assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, a joint investigation was launched that resulted in the arrest of three individuals suspected of orchestrating the attempted murder and plotting the assassination of a Williamson County judge.

A press conference (see video below) was held at 12:00 p.m. on September 18 at the Williamson County Sheriff's Office headquarters at 508 Rock Street in Georgetown. Authorities released more details about the attack and the suspects involved in the case at that time.
