3 people arrested and charged with kidnapping and torturing roommates in Colorado

Jefferson County Sheriff's officials have arrested three men accused of kidnapping and torturing their roommate. They are still looking for a fourth suspect in the case. Investigators have not yet released that suspect's identity.

The house is in the 4700 block of South Oak Court in Jefferson County.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred in the 4700 block of South Oak Court. Investigators first became aware of the situation around 10 a.m. on Monday after a hospital employee reported a male patient who had been bound and tortured over a 14-hour period.

Investigators said the victim, a 45-year-old man, suffered injuries consistent with being tied up, beaten, burned and whipped, and sustained serious bodily harm when one of the suspects stepped on his neck, causing him to lose consciousness.

The sheriff's office said the Jefferson County Combined Regional SWAT Team executed high-risk warrants for all three suspects at the home on South Oak Court. The home's owner, Jason Carlson, 49, was charged with attempted first-degree murder, second-degree kidnapping and first- and second-degree assault.

The other two suspects, both of whom investigators say are linked to the address, are facing the same charges. They are Sherell Allen, 48, and Luke Anaya, 41.

All three are being held on cash bonds ranging from $150,000 to $300,000.
