Exclusive – The Great Indian Kapil Show 2: Archana Puran Singh compares Sunil Grover to Hollywood actor Jim Carrey and says, “The mobility of his face is typical of him.”

Sunil Grover is widely known for his exceptional versatility and comedic timing. From his iconic roles as Gutthi and Dr. Mashoor Gulati to his more serious performances in films and web series, he has proved his caliber as an actor. Recently, the team of The great Indian Kapil show had an exclusive conversation with ETimes TV where they spoke about the much talked about final act of Sunil Grover and Krushna Abhishek.
Just like the audience, actors Rajiv Thakur and Archana Puran Singh were also blown away by Sunil Grover's brilliant impersonation of Salman Khan. Archana was so impressed that she compared Sunil to Hollywood actor Jim Carrey and praised his ability to portray characters with such precision and humor.
Rajiv Thakur praised Sunil Grover and shared, “Whenever I meet Sunil bhai, I always tell him how one manages to do the mimicry of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan so effortlessly with that same face. Aisa is opposite Ban Jaata so he looks perfect. Shah Rukh Khan even looks like Salman Khan while doing mimicry. inka waisa nahi hai.”.
Archana Puran Singh, who was also part of the interview, added, “His talent is like Jim Carrey. His facial agility is like Jim Carrey. Pura expressions, haav bhaav hota hai.”
The performance, in which they imitated Bollywood superstars Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, became an instant hit and left viewers laughing with laughter. After the finale, the entire social media was flooded with comments and memes calling Sunil a threat to AI. Reacting to the memes, Sunil Grover said, “Yes, I saw the memes. It felt really good. Jab aap kuch kaam karte hain aur log usko itna pasand karte hain, positively react karte hain toh aapko accha lagta hai. Bus ye tha ke bhai ka response wahan se kuch galat na aaye (When you do something and people appreciate it so much and respond positively, it feels really good. The only concern I had was that Bhai's (Salman Khan) reaction from there shouldn't be negative). We had fun doing it and we all put in so much effort.”
