Three men allegedly tortured roommates for 14 hours in a Jefferson County home

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colorado – The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office announced Wednesday that officers have arrested three men in connection with their alleged roles in the kidnapping and torture of a 45-year-old man in a home shared by all four men.

The sheriff's office said the victim claimed he was tied up, beaten, burned and whipped for 14 hours and suffered serious injuries after one of the suspects allegedly stomped on his neck, causing him to lose consciousness.

The sheriff's office said a bystander who was inside the home was eventually able to help the victim get out and take him to the hospital before SWAT team members executed high-risk warrants at the home in the 4700 block of S. Oak Court on Monday morning.

The owner of the home, 49-year-old Jason Carlson, and two other suspects associated with that address, 41-year-old Luke Anaya and 48-year-old Sherell Allen, are each charged with several serious crimes, including attempted premeditated murder, kidnapping and assault.

All three are being held in the Jefferson County Jail with bail set between $150,000 and $300,000. The sheriff's office said investigators are currently working to locate a fourth suspect.

A possible motive for the alleged crimes has not been disclosed.
