2 men wanted, 1 woman arrested after death of 12-year-old Hope Alexandria

An Alexandria woman was arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 12-year-old girl in her home and the wounding of the girl's father, police said Wednesday evening.

Alexandria police also announced in a separate news release that they are looking for two men in connection with the Saturday morning shooting that killed Hope Alexandria.

Kayla Leigh Wooten, 38, was booked into Rapides Parish Detention Center #1 shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday on charges of second-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder and aggravated criminal damage to property.
