2 Powerball winning tickets worth $50,000 sold in Indiana

According to the Hoosier Lottery, both tickets are worth $50,000.

INDIANAPOLIS – Lottery players in south-central Indiana should check their tickets!

According to the Hoosier Lottery, two $50,000 winning Powerball tickets were sold in Indiana, one for the Saturday night drawing and another for the Monday night drawing.

Saturday's winning ticket was sold at Depot Express at 128 West McClain Avenue in Scottsburg, while Monday's winning ticket was sold at Strough's Market at 624 North Madison Street in Fortville.

The Hoosier Lottery advises all holders of these tickets to keep them in a safe place and to contact a financial advisor immediately. Winners can contact Hoosier Lottery Customer Service at 1-800-955-6886 for specific instructions on how to claim their winnings.

The Powerball winning numbers for Saturday, September 14 were 29-34-28-48-56 with a Powerball of 16, while the Powerball winning numbers for Monday, September 16 were 8-9-11-27-31 with a Powerball of 17.

The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday, September 18, is estimated at $176 million. The overall odds of winning the Powerball are 1 in 25.
