Fatal accident leads to closure of a road in Susquehanna Township

PennDOT says a road in Dauphin County is closed this morning due to a fatal crash.Video above: Headlines from WGAL News 8.The crash occurred around 2:30 a.m. in the 2200 block of Walnut Street in Susquehanna Township. The crash scene is near the National Civil War Museum.All lanes of Walnut Street between Civil War Museum Park Drive/Parkway Drive and Canby Street are closed.Flatbed trucks have removed two vehicles from the scene. Both had significant front-end damage (see pictures below).It's not yet clear how the crash occurred and no names have been released.WGAL has a crew on the scene. Stay tuned for updates.

According to the PennDOT Department of Transportation, a road in Dauphin County was closed this morning due to a fatal accident.

The accident occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. in the 2200 block of Walnut Street in Susquehanna Township. The accident scene is near the National Civil War Museum.

All lanes of Walnut Street are closed between Civil War Museum Park Drive/Parkway Drive and Canby Street.

Two vehicles were taken away from the scene of the accident on low loaders. Both had significant damage to the front (see pictures below).

How the crash happened is still unclear and no names have been mentioned.
