Newport Police Report Multiple Arrests, Including Domestic Violence

Newport police logs show several arrests and incidents between Wednesday and Thursday morning.

A 35-year-old woman is facing multiple charges following a series of events early Wednesday morning. At 12:45 a.m., officers arrested her for violating a no-contact order. Less than an hour later, at 1:39 a.m., she was arrested again. This time, she was charged with obstructing an officer in the execution of his duty and a second no-contact order violation.

The woman's address was not included in the police report. This is common practice in cases involving domestic disputes or sensitive personal information.

Later that evening, at 9:45 p.m., police were alerted to another incident involving a 35-year-old man from Jamestown, Rhode Island. The man was cited and charged with disturbing the peace and simple assault.

As of 7:00 a.m. Thursday, no further arrests had been reported to Newport police.
