Antonio Gibson sneaks onto the fantasy radar in Week 3

1 day agoNew England Patriots running back Antonio Gibson has emerged as an interesting fantasy option ahead of his Week 3 matchup against the New York Jets. Gibson was particularly productive last Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, rushing for 96 yards on 11 carries. Gibson is typically seen as a pass-catcher out of the backfield, but has been used almost exclusively on the ground with the Patriots this season. He offers plenty of swing and change of pace behind lead back Rhamondre Stevenson. The big concern with Gibson is playing time. Last week he had a dozen touches, but he only played 24 percent of the offensive snaps. It's difficult to play less than a quarter of the snaps and have consistent fantasy relevance. Still, Gibson proved last week that he's capable of scoring fantasy points, which put him on the radar as a borderline top-36 running back this week.
