Suspect arrested in Greeley shooting

Haven Ramirez, 21, is charged with first-degree murder.

GREELEY, Colorado – Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal overnight shooting in Greeley.

Greeley police said officers were called to a home at 2700 C Street just after 2 a.m. Thursday where a shooting had just occurred. Police said the suspect, later identified as 21-year-old Haven Ramirez, left the scene immediately after the shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. He later died in the hospital.

On Thursday afternoon, police said, detectives found Ramirez and took him into custody. He was taken to the Weld County Jail, where he was booked on charges of first-degree murder and two counts of menacing, police said.


The victim's name was not released.
