Woman allegedly shot her husband in Tracy

TRACY – A Tracy woman is behind bars accused of shooting her husband, authorities said Thursday.

Jean Miranda, 43, was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail and faces murder and weapons charges, Tracy police said.

Officers responded to a report Wednesday to an address on Hampshire Lane where a man had been shot, police said. The man – later identified as Wesley Bozek, 53 – was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.

Bozel was pronounced dead on Thursday.

Tracy police said there was no threat to the public at large.

There was no information available about the motive for the shooting.
