Max Verstappen sets his target for Singapore and predicts “not our easiest weekend” for Red Bull

Red Bull has had problems with the RB20 in recent races, meaning Verstappen has not been able to take a win since the Spanish Grand Prix in June.

When asked what problems that arose last time in Azerbaijan could possibly be repeated in Singapore, the 26-year-old replied: “Our car generally does not cope well with bumps and curbs and that is of course the case here. So we have to try to stabilise that a bit.”

Verstappen's challenging weekend at this venue in 2023 saw him narrowly miss out on Q3 in qualifying. When asked if he was confident of making it this time, he replied: “I hope so, yes.”

“But I don't know where to start if I want to put a number on it. I'm confident we can do better than last year, but at the same time the competition has obviously improved quite a bit. I'm definitely targeting Q3 and we'll see where we end up.”
