Jackson police arrest two teenagers in connection with the murder of a 17-year-old

Jackson police have arrested two 16-year-olds in connection with the death of a 17-year-old Callaway High School student. According to Detective Tommie Brown, the teens are facing felony charges in connection with Jaden Morgan's death. Police said Morgan was found shot to death on Watkins Drive on Sept. 13. Police Chief Joseph Wade said Morgan was approached by the teens and other masked individuals who demanded that Morgan give him his vehicle, a Honda Accord. Wade said the individuals shot Morgan multiple times. Morgan was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives said more arrests are expected in this case. Anyone with information about this homicide is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS (8477). Wade said Morgan is the 83rd homicide in the city of Jackson.
