Man tortured and killed dog at Hollywood Casino Toledo, police say

38-year-old Michael Baldwin from Michigan is said to have been caught on surveillance camera strangling his dog in the casino on Wednesday.

TOLEDO, Ohio – A Michigan man strangled his dog and left the body at the Hollywood Casino Toledo on Wednesday, according to Toledo police documents.

Michael Baldwin, 38, was arrested for pet violating the law after the incident was allegedly captured on surveillance video at the casino in east Toledo.

The documents state that Baldwin, a native of Westland outside Detroit, “knowingly and violently tortured and killed his dog by violent strangulation while on the premises of the Hollywood Casino Toledo” and then “left the property and abandoned his dog's body on the property.”
