NYC COVID czar brags about drug-fueled sex parties during pandemic

Former New York City COVID Commissioner Dr. Jay Varma was caught on hidden camera bragging about attending drug-fueled sex parties with his wife during the pandemic.

Varma, who served as chief health adviser to then-Mayor Bill de Blasio at the height of the pandemic, spoke of hosting orgies with his wife and attending underground dance parties with more than 200 people.

The videos, which were released on Thursday, are allegedly comes from secretly recorded conversations with an undercover agent from conservative podcaster Steven Crowder’s “Mug Club.”

Varma does not deny that he was partying during the pandemic, but says his shocking comments were taken out of context.

“I had to be a little sneaky… because I was leading the entire COVID response in the city,” Varma says in a clip.

In a caustic clip, a woman asks Varma: “Do you think you would have had a hard time if New York City had found out [he] Have there been sex parties during COVID?”

“It would have been a big deal, yes, it would have been really embarrassing,” Varma replies.

The identity of the woman Varma spoke to, the place where he met her and the nature of their relationship were unclear.

Varma admits on camera that he had to “be a little sneaky” because he was in charge of the city's COVID response.

In a statement to The New York Times, Varma said he had become “the target of an agent of a right-wing extremist organization determined to defame public health officials and destroy the public health system in America,” adding, “I stand by my efforts to get New Yorkers vaccinated against COVID-19.”

During the same period, Pharma appeared regularly on FOX 5 NYand urged New Yorkers to wear masks, stay home and maintain social distancing as health authorities tried to contain the deadly virus.
