TRACKING: Major pattern shift in time for fall | Forecast

There is a big pattern shift coming this weekend.

TOday: The cold front has pushed the rain out of sight, allowing skies to clear and temperatures and humidity to drop. However, a dense fog is developing along and north of Highway 18 to the north, which will affect morning traffic. This fog should gradually dissipate throughout the morning and give way to mostly sunny skies today. A warm day is developing, with highs between 80 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit, but humidity should be significantly lower than yesterday. Winds will be west-northwest at 5 to 10 mph.

TonyRight: Some clouds will form in the sky, giving us a partly cloudy sky. The minimum temperatures will fall to 10 to 15 degrees Celsius with a southeast wind of 8 to 16 km/h.

SSaturday [LEVEL 1/5 SEVERE RISK]: Saturday will be mostly dry with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures and humidity will rise with highs between 30 and 28 degrees Celsius and dew points around 18 degrees Celsius, making it feel damp. Thunderstorms are expected throughout the afternoon and evening, some of which may be heavy, with hail, gusty winds and heavy rain. Rain and thunderstorms are likely across the region overnight into Saturday as a strong cold front moves through.

Sunday: The chance of rain for the rest of the weekend and Monday is decreasing. However, the chance of rain on Sunday is still at 60%, especially further south. Skies will be mostly cloudy with north winds of 10-15 mph. Highs are expected to be between 65 and 68 degrees Fahrenheit! Perfect for the first day of fall (equinox at 7:43 a.m.). Rainfall for the weekend is expected to be between 0.5 and 1.5 inches.

Next week: Apart from a few isolated showers on Monday, we will see more sunshine and a longer dry spell. Highs for the week are expected to be 21 degrees and lows just over 10 degrees!
