Video: Florida man in underwear accused of breaking into and damaging a mini golf course

A Florida man was sent to prison after allegedly breaking into a miniature golf course wearing only his underwear.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office said the incident occurred last week at Smuggler's Cove Adventure Golf in Fort Myers Beach.

On September 13, shortly after 4:30 a.m., officers responded to the mini golf course because the company's alarm had been triggered.

At the crime scene, officers heard loud bangs and a man talking.

They soon came across 38-year-old Francisco Fortin Mayorga, who was wearing only underwear, according to an arrest report. He appeared “aggressive” and “in an altered mental state” and was sweating, the report said.

On the property, officers noticed several broken decorations, a broken door window, a broken door and a broken fire extinguisher.

Two other fire extinguishers appeared to be missing because they were not in the designated containers, officials said.

Officers reviewed video surveillance that showed Mayorga arriving at the property and “maliciously” tearing down signs, breaking a window and gate, and ripping down a motion detector – causing approximately $490 in damage.
