Football tips for Friday: bet on the 6/1 Bet Builder in the Serie A showdown

Razvan Marin: Has shot regularly on goal this season

With not much at stake on Friday night, I'll be making a rare foray into Italy's Serie A in search of profit.

What particularly appeals to me about this game is Cagliari's goal-scoring record at the start of the season.

Although they have only scored one goal in four games so far, it is not for a lack of effort – only three teams have managed more than their 64 shots on goal, an average of 16 per game.

And since only three teams have allowed more shots on goal than the visitors from Empoli, some of the home team's players are attractive shots on goal here.

Let’s start with Romanian midfielder Razvan Marin.

At the 2024 European Championship, he demonstrated his talent for scoring goals and recently impressed with two goals for his national team during the international break.

He has now had a shot on goal in six of his seven appearances for club and country this season, so the chances of him scoring again are good.

Yerry Mina also receives the contract.

The former Everton defender remains a real threat from set pieces and has a shot-on-target record of 4-2-1 in his Serie A appearances this season, including a shot when he came on as a substitute for Colombia against Peru earlier this month.

Here we bet on Mina with 1+ shot and complete our bet builder by going to the foul market.

The outstanding prize here is the 5/4 on Cagliari striker Zito Luvumbo to score two or more goals.

After four matchdays, he is the player with the most fouls in Serie A with 13 fouls. The breakdown in the games is 4-1-3-5, and the Angolan has also placed a bet on 2+ fouls in three of his last five games last season.

Referee Simone Sozza was well above average in terms of fouls per game last season, so the only potential danger is whether Luvumbo is in the starting lineup.

Cagliari lost 4-0 to Napoli last weekend, so changes are likely, even though the striker played the full 90 minutes that day.
