Columbia Police Arrest Another Person After Shooting on Ripplemeyer Avenue

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) – The Columbia Police Department (CPD) announced Thursday afternoon that a man was arrested in connection with an August shooting on Ripplemeyer Avenue.

Officers announced they had arrested Marcus Toatley on charges of serious breach of the peace, criminal conspiracy and weapons offenses.

Toatley is the brother of Jamila and Leona Toatley, who were arrested in August on charges of recklessly shooting a man at 100 Ripplemeyer Avenue.

According to police, the man was not injured.

According to CPD, the charges against Marcus Toatley stem from an argument he had with another man that was related to the shooting.
