Tulsa police arrest suspected serial rapist | News

TULSA, Oklahoma – Tulsa police said a suspected serial rapist was arrested Friday morning.

Police identified Christopher Rogers as a suspect in three rape cases.

In March 2022, Tulsa Police received a report of a rape near 21st and Sheridan. A woman reported that an unknown black man in a dark-colored Mazda stopped her and offered her a ride.

The victim said that instead of taking her to her destination, the suspect drove her behind a building, forced her to undress, pointed a gun at her and sexually assaulted her, police said.

In April of this year, Tulsa police received a similar report of a rape near the corner of 31st Street and Sheridan. A woman said that after she left a bar, a black man in a dark-colored Mazda offered her a ride.

Similar to the 2022 report, police said the victim testified that the suspect pointed a gun at her, forced her to undress, sexually assaulted her, and then let her out of the car.

This month, Tulsa police received another report of a rape that appeared to be connected to the other cases.

A woman said she was driving near 11th Street and Memorial when a black man in a dark-colored Mazda offered her a ride. The victim reported the suspect pointed a gun at her, forced her to undress, sexually assaulted her and then let her out of the car.

Using DNA evidence, investigators identified Rogers as a suspect in all three cases.

On Friday, the Tulsa County District Attorney's Office charged Rogers with three counts of first-degree rape and two counts of sexual battery.

Tulsa police said officers from the Fugitive Warrants Unit arrested Rogers Friday morning.
