How the Zac Brown Band is aiming for a “much-needed breakout”

No wake zone debuted on Friday (September 20) and “captures the essence of summer,” according to a press release announcing the EP. The collection includes previously released – and award-nominated – tracks such as “Tie Up” and “Pirates & Parrots” with Mac McAnallya heartfelt tribute to the deceased music legend Jimmy Buffetwho died last year. He was 76. No wake zone also includes a rendition of “I Lost It” by Lucinda Williams and more.

No wake zoneis the first project of the Zac Brown Band since From the Street, Volume 1: Coverin November 2023. The 13-track album consists of live renditions of genre-bending hits that the Zac Brown Band has performed over the years, including “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Margaritaville,” and “It's A Great Day To be Alive.” The Zac Brown Band's latest album is The comebackwhich was released as a 15-track record in October 2021 and expanded to a deluxe album in September 2022. The band will perform career-spanning hits in upcoming shows, including the newly announced New Year's Eve performance in Atlanta, Georgia. Tickets go on sale Friday, September 27 at 10 a.m. ET.

The Zac Brown Band is nominated for the upcoming People's Choice Awards and will return to the historic Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee next week. The full list of nominees can be found here.
