One person died after a car accident in Eunice

EUNICE, Louisiana – A man was killed in a car crash in Eunice Thursday evening.

Eunice police were called to a traffic accident involving a dump truck and a cyclist on Thursday around 11 p.m. The accident occurred at the intersection of N. Martin Luther King Drive and E. Vine Avenue.

Kenneth Caesor, 60, of Eunice, was killed in the crash.

According to police, Ceasor was riding a motorized bicycle north on N. MLK Drive, and a dump truck was traveling in the same direction. When the driver of the truck attempted to back into a private driveway, Ceasor continued driving and was struck by the truck's rear bumper.

Caesar suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene of the accident.

Standard toxicological samples were taken from both drivers for analysis.
