Accident in Dublin, New Hampshire: 17-year-old killed

A teenager has died after a car crash in Dublin on Friday afternoon. The crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Perry Pasture Road. Police said the car was badly damaged after hitting a tree. The driver, a 17-year-old boy from Antrim, died at the scene, police said. There were two passengers, a 16-year-old boy from Antrim and a 16-year-old girl from Peterborough, police said. Officials said the boy had to be extricated from the vehicle, while the girl had exited the vehicle and was running around when emergency responders arrived. They were taken to a hospital. Police confirmed those involved in the crash were students at ConVal Regional High School. ConVal's school administration released a statement in light of the fatal crash. “Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragedy,” said interim superintendent Dr. Ann Forrest. “This is a profound moment for our school community, and it is important that we come together to support one another in the days ahead.” “Principal McKillop encourages parents and guardians to talk to their children about their feelings and experiences and help them get the support they need during this time.” “To help students and staff cope with the impact of this tragedy, the district will have support resources available at the high school beginning Monday morning, Sept. 23. These include counseling services and therapy dogs to provide comfort and support.” “Additional resources for students and families related to grief and loss can be found here courtesy of the CDC and here courtesy of the National Education Association.” Authorities said speed appeared to be a factor in the crash, which is currently under investigation. A teenager died in a car accident in Dublin on Friday afternoon.

The accident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Perry Pasture Road. Police said the car was badly damaged after hitting a tree.

According to police, the driver, a 17-year-old boy from Antrim, died at the scene of the accident.

There were two passengers, a 16-year-old boy from Antrim and a 16-year-old girl from Peterborough, police said. Officers said the boy had to be extricated from the vehicle, while the girl had exited the vehicle and was walking around when emergency responders arrived. They were taken to a hospital.

Police confirmed that the people involved in the accident were students from ConVal Regional High School.

The ConVal school administration released a statement in response to the fatal accident.
