Eureka man accused of child sexual abuse – Times-Standard

Below is a press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:

On the afternoon of September 19, Humboldt County Sheriff's officers executed a search and arrest warrant for the 2900 block of Essex Street in Eureka.

Darin Michael Ward, 53 years old, of Eureka, was arrested following a search of his residence. Evidence of the criminal act was recovered from the house.

Ward was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on the following charges:

• 2 cases of lewd or lascivious acts towards minors – StGB 288(a)
• Contact with a minor with the intent to commit a specific crime – PC 288.3(a)
• Promotion/use/persuasion or inducement of obscene material to minors – PC 311.4(b)
• Human Trafficking – PC 236.1(c)(2)
